Suzanne Thorson, founder & Creative Director of Brazilian Beat™ in the USA, a company dedicated to showcasing the exquisite beauty of one of the most famous and dazzling events in the world: the Carnaval of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The group was founded in 1991 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and traveled throughout the world delighting audiences with stunning performances and extravagant pageantry. The second version of Brazilian Beat is based in Boca Raton, Florida. Suzanne is a former ballerina and actress.

“Carnaval” is the largest and most popular Brazilian Festival, a true live opera that takes place on an Avenue in Rio de Janeiro named “Passarela do Samba” (Runway of Samba). On this Avenue built specially for this unique event, the ‘Schools of Samba’ parade and compete to be crowned the best of each year. Brazilian Beat is a performing arts group specialized in traditional Brazilian music & dance. We also offer Belly dance with fire, Argentinian tango, salsa, etc.
